Dan commenced at the Australian bar in February 2013 and maintains a practice in Melbourne and Tasmania. He assists the team at Thornburgh lawyers on individual cases that involve large scale litigation or advice on Australian Law.
Dan studied law at the University of Melbourne and also holds a Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the ANU. While at law school, Dan studied International Tax law at a masters level and maintains an interest in the area.
Prior to commencing at the Bar, Dan was a Judge’s Associate in the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Dan’s family has been living in Vanuatu for over 10 years. During this time he has come to know the country and the legal system well. While at Melbourne University, Dan led a team of law students in preparing a report into the applicability of incorporating kastom law into the juvenile justice system.
